Theater Tulsa will continue its new and original theater experience with the second episode of “Tell Me A Story” in December.
The production, a three-part series of personal real-life stories adapted for theatrical performances, will take place in Ahha Tulsa in a staging entirely designed for public health and safety. Each of the six performances takes place in a static location throughout the ahha Hardesty Center, while the audience moves to the different locations in socially distant groups of 10 people. Tickets for each show are capped at 60. Show times are December 4th, 5th and December 11th at 9-10: 30am and 12. For the past few months, Theater Tulsa has been collecting true stories from local Tulsans and commissioning writers to develop them into plays. The directors were assigned each script to recruit actors and develop the stories into live performances. Each show offers variety and some surprises in its intimate style of storytelling. The first of the “Tell Me A Story” series took place in November, followed by parts two and three in December and January. All performances take place at the ahha Hardesty Center on 101 E Archer St. in downtown Tulsa. Tickets are currently available on the ahha Tulsa website at ahhatulsa.org/tell-me-a-storyFor questions or more information about Theater Tulsa and its upcoming shows and programs, visit theatretulsa.org, call 918-587-8402 or send an email to [email protected]
