Tulsa’s press conference was originally scheduled for Thursday but was postponed to Friday after Governor Stitt released his plan to reopen some non-essential stores.
Several cities decided on Thursday to follow the governor’s lead in allowing businesses like barbershops and nail salons to return to work.
Mayor GT Bynum said he will look at the latest data trends and discuss them with his new Economic Recovery Advisory Committee and colleagues in other nearby towns before making his decision.
Currently, Tulsa’s Safer at Home order is in effect through April 30, and all non-essential stores have been closed for several weeks.
The press conference begins Friday noon and can be viewed on the Tulsa City Facebook page.
We’ll be streaming it live here on News On 6 as well.
