Tulsa Metropolis Council to debate masks mandate extension

TULSA, okla. – Tulsa City Council will meet on Wednesday to discuss the extension of the mask mandate in the city.

The mask mandate for Tulsa currently expires at the end of January.

The mandate requires that all individuals aged 10 and over wear face covering in public places including grocery stores, retail stores, and public areas where social distancing cannot be obeyed.

The mask mandate first came into effect in July 2020 in the city of Tulsa. The proposed change would extend the mandate to the end of April 2021.

The Tulsa City Council meeting begins January 13 at 5:00 p.m.
