Tulsa man arrested for distributing child pornography

Editor’s Note: Tulsa County Jail lists Bookout’s home address as Broken Arrow, but OSBI lists it as Tulsa. News On 6 has decided to refer to him as a resident of Tulsa.

A 25-year-old Tulsa man was arrested Tuesday night after an undercover operation to share child pornography over the Internet.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s Child Crimes Division arrested Matthew Bookout on two arrest warrants.

A count of the difficult possession of child pornography and the distribution of child pornography is calculated for each booking out.

He was arrested by Tulsa Police and OSBI agents at a Tulsa house on the 8700 block of South Lakewood.

According to OSBI, a search of a confiscated household computer revealed more than 100 images of child pornography.

According to OSBI, no local child victims were identified in the pictures.

Bookout issued a $ 20,000 bond and was released from Tulsa County Jail. He is due to go to trial in Tulsa District Court on February 8, 2012.
