Mayor, council launches Tulsa Meals Drive

TULSA, okla. (AP) – Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett and city officials are expected to launch a city-wide food ride.

Bartlett, Councilor Karen Gilbert, and fire and police officers will provide details of the ride, known as Stock the Station, at the Police Department’s Uniform Division Southwest location Monday.

Tulsa has partnered with the Community Food Bank in eastern Oklahoma to collect food for those in need.

The ride organizers say that for every sixth Oklahoman at risk of starvation, more food drop-off points have been added to the city’s food drive. The new locations will be announced on Monday at the start.
