TULSA, okla. – A traffic incident results in a person being shot on Sunday afternoon.
Tulsa police said the incident happened on the westward lanes of Highway 11 near Sheridan. Officers said the driver of a Tahoe was shot in the shoulder and the bullet grazed her ear.
Police told KRMG the person had gone to Apache and Yale to call for help. We were told that they were taken to the hospital and should be fine.
During the investigation, police said the driver of the other vehicle, a Mercury Marquis, called them to tell the rest of the story.
This driver informed police that the person in the Tahoe was driving aggressively and that a passenger in the Tahoe was making threatening movements with an ax.
The driver of the Marqui claims they shot in self-defense.
Tulsa Police are still investigating and no arrests have been made.
